Four years ago, Tara decided to make a career change. She gave up life on the road in technical sales to spend more time with her high school children. While unsure of the industry, Tara knew she wanted to be involved with clients – behind the scenes. One fall day, she sent an unusual cover letter in response to an ad posted on LinkedIn for a Wealth Management Assistant in order to make the hiring manager take notice and soon thereafter embarked on a new venture in the financial industry. An opportunity she wishes she had had sooner.
After a short period of time, Tara realized that she could provide more support to the clients and firm if she pursued and obtained the FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses. She enjoys helping you navigate the firm to find the answers to your questions and promptly address your needs.
Tara’s working career began as a newspaper carrier at the age of 10. She quickly learned how service impacted her relationship with her customers. It was the little things that mattered – ensuring the front door was closed so the paper would not blow all over the front yard, wrapping the newspaper in plastic to keep it from getting wet on rainy days as well as being polite and respectful. The principals learned in those early days laid the foundation of her continued passion for service.
Tara is a Wisconsin native. She currently lives in Wisconsin with her daughter - Gretchen - who is a senior in high school and Miss Kitty the family cat. Her husband, Paul, accepted a transfer to the Houston area as a step in breaking the cycle of living through cold, Wisconsin winters. This coming summer she will migrate to the south just in time for the Texas heat to really kick in.
While life is a little different these days, Tara spends time outside of work traveling throughout the Midwest with Gretchen for volleyball, she is looking forward to gardening and soaking up the sun and enjoys cooking for her family when they are together. (Tara and Paul have 4 children sprinkled across the country – Phoenix, Minneapolis and Milwaukee).
